Join us for a great day of celebration and patriotism in and around Culpeper on Tuesday, July 4th, 2017.

The Culpeper Festival Committee was created in the fall of 2006 to carry on the production of the 4th of July activities conducted by the former July 4th Committee from 1995-2005.  The Festival Committee is comprised of a Board of Directors who plan, promote, and conduct all of the activities that take place on July 4th.  This includes the Freedom 5K race, patriotic presentation at the Courthouse, Main Street parade, craft and food vendors, entertainment and fireworks.  We estimate between 5,000 to 8,000 people are in attendance throughout the day.

The 4th of July activities celebrate our national independence locally.  The bonds that are forged with the neighbors, community and organizers of this event, create pride and spirit in our community and the quality of life which benefits us all.  Volunteers and private donations from businesses and the Town and County of Culpeper are essential to this effort. In addition to spectators and participants, the event brings volunteers together from civic clubs, youth groups and individuals with pride in their community.

From the beginning to the end of the day, there will be many activities in Culpeper on the 4th of July. Please check out the Schedule of Events page for further details.

Please join us in Culpeper for a fabulous event!
