A Celebration of Patriotism
4th of JULY
MAIN STREET PARADE

2013 PARADE WINNERS will be listed here...

stay tuned after the 4th!

The Annual 4th of July Parade is a traditional hometown parade open to everyone who wants to participate. Join this year's Grand Marshal and Spirit Award Winner for this grand pageant down Main Street!

The typical hometown Main Street parade was once the center of most annual community events and local gatherings. Culpeper's 4th of July Celebration brings that memory back to life. And what's more memorable than sitting on the street corner waving the American Flag as the Color Guard and local veterans groups proudly march past? Children and adults still boast a broad smile at costumed characters and baton twirlers; not to mention the lively bands, youth organizations, 4-H and school clubs, and all of the creative floats.

Continue the tradition and be a part of the Annual Main Street Parade! Be as patriotic as possible, since participants in the parade have the opportunity to be judged Best Patriotic Spirit, Best Use of Red/White/Blue, Best Overall, and Best Culpeper Spirit. Trophies were announced at 6 p.m. at the Band Stand in Yowell Meadow Park.

If you are interested in sponsoring the parade, please contact the Festival Committee.  For more information, contact Hank Milans at 829-8264.

The parade starts at 4:00 p.m. on July 4th with the line up at 3:30 p.m. on East Piedmont Street. Unless there are major storms, the parade will be held as scheduled.  Click here for the parade line-up for 2013!
